APC Chieftain Supports Bala Mohammed's Defection Move

Comrade Aliyu Abdullahi Ilelah, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, has expressed support for Governor Bala Mohammed's move to defect to the APC. Ilelah criticized opposition party stakeholders for their plans to undermine the governor's position, describing them as self-centered politicians who work against President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027.

During a press conference in Bauchi on Thursday, Ilelah noted that the Bauchi APC caucus, reportedly led by Senator Samaila Dahuwa, has taken a curious and bitter stance driven by personal interests. He argued that the opposition's actions could harm the collective goal of strengthening the APC for future elections.

Ilelah warned that attempts by a few individuals to block the governor's defection could be a costly mistake, as it risks excluding a significant political influence from the party. He emphasized that supporting the governor's move would bolster President Tinubu's chances in the upcoming elections.
