Bauchi Governor Meets APC Chairman, Discusses Politics

On Wednesday, Bauchi State Governor Mahamud Mohammed held a closed-door meeting with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentaw Yilwatda, and the Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf. The meeting took place at the Government House in Bauchi and was attended by three politicians who are members of the state party executive, while journalists were excluded from the discussions.

Although the details of the meeting were not disclosed, it has fueled speculation about possible political realignments in anticipation of the 2027 general elections. Additionally, Governor Mohammed expressed interest in engaging with a delegation from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), led by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal.

This engagement is part of ongoing political consultations, with Governor Mohammed acknowledging the ADC as a viable platform and promising a formal decision on potential collaboration by Thursday.
