APC Chairman Meets Bauchi Governor Amid Defection Talks

On Wednesday, high-ranking leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held a private consultation meeting with Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed at the Bauchi State Government House. The delegation was led by APC National Chairman Professor Nentaw Yilwatda and included Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The meeting, which lasted several hours, was conducted behind closed doors and is believed to have focused on discussions regarding potential defections to the APC. This visit comes amid widespread speculation about significant political realignments in the North, particularly as Governor Bala Mohammed currently serves as the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum.

The APC is reportedly intensifying its efforts to expand its influence across the North East in anticipation of the upcoming elections.
