Bauchi State Mourns Idris Shall, Former Media Leader

Bauchi State is in mourning following the death of Idris Shall, the former Managing Director of Bauchi State Television (BATV). Governor Bala Mohammed expressed sadness over Shall's passing and sent a condolence message to the media community.

Mukhtar Gidado, the governor's spokesperson, described Shall as a dedicated media professional who significantly contributed to the growth and development of the media industry in the state. Throughout his distinguished career, Shall rose through the ranks from reporter to editor and eventually to MD of BATV.

His tenure was marked by efforts to upgrade the station, acquire modern equipment, and ensure timely staff remuneration. Shall was also recognized for mentoring young journalists and raising the standards of broadcast journalism.

Other officials, including former Bauchi State Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, also extended their condolences, acknowledging Shall's commitment to public service and the media sector. Idris Shall was a graduate of Bayero University Kano.
