MWAN in Bauchi Raises Awareness on Breast and Cervical Cancer Through Screening Campaign

The Medical Women's Association of Nigeria (MWAN) in Bauchi conducted a breast and cervical cancer screening and awareness exercise for over 100 women and adolescent girls in Dungal community, Bauchi State. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about breast and cervical cancer, major public health concerns in the region.

Dr. Umma Hanni Ja'afar highlighted the importance of early detection and urged women to conduct regular self-examinations.

Dr. Zainab Kwaru emphasized the need for prompt medical attention upon detecting abnormalities.

The North East Development Commission (NEDC) pledged ongoing support for health interventions in the region. Bauchi State health officials commended MWAN for its proactive approach.
