Bayelsa Commissioner Magbisa Defects to Nigerian Democratic Congress

Michael Magbisa, the Bayelsa Commissioner for Special Duties, announced his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) on Thursday. He expressed dissatisfaction with the APC's ideological stance and internal operations, stating that the party no longer represented the people's destiny.

Magbisa, a former local government chairman, emphasized that his decision was final and that he would not return to the APC. He highlighted the importance of loyalty and courage in political affiliations, encouraging others to join the NDC, which he believes offers a credible alternative.

The Bayelsa State Chairman of the NDC, Dauprebo Ikuromo, welcomed the defectors, commending Magbisa for his bravery and commitment to the party's vision. The NDC aims to unite various political factions and work towards a brighter future for the state, distancing itself from the perceived failures of the APC.
