Diri Supports City Boy Movement for Tinubu's 2027 Bid

On Tuesday, Douye Diri, the Governor of Bayelsa State, expressed his administration's commitment to supporting the City Boy Movement (CBM) in its objectives to re-elect President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections. The CBM, a youth-focused political advocacy group, aligns with Diri's vision of nurturing young leaders for a better Nigeria.

During a courtesy visit to the Government House in Yenagoa, led by CBM's Director General, Oluwatosin Shoga, Diri emphasized the importance of youth leadership today, stating that the reality reflects in his appointment of the youngest cabinet in the state. He reiterated his belief in the necessity of developing young people to ensure a brighter future.

Additionally, Diri mentioned his preference for a single six-year term for the presidency and governorship, arguing that the current four-year term is inadequate for assessing leadership performance effectively.
