Governor Diri Backs City Boy Movement for Tinubu 2027

On Tuesday, during a courtesy visit by the City Boy Movement (CBM) led by its Director General, Mr. Oluwatosin Shoga, Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State expressed his administration's commitment to supporting the movement's objectives, particularly in relation to the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027. The CBM is a youth-focused political advocacy group that aligns with Diri's vision of nurturing youth potential to become leaders today.

Diri emphasized the importance of empowering youth in socio-economic activities beyond political engagement and addressing issues like political violence and thuggery. He reiterated his preference for a single six-year presidential term to allow leaders to focus on governance without distractions.

Shoga highlighted the group's commitment to mobilizing and empowering young Nigerians to support Tinubu's re-election bid and commended Diri for his youth-focused policies and visible development progress in Bayelsa State.
