Sani Warns Journalists Against Politicians Posing as Activists

During a Ramadan break fast event on Thursday night, Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, warned journalists to be cautious of politicians who present themselves as activists. He highlighted that Nigeria's democratic system is under threat from politicians who exploit activism when government policies do not favor them.

Sani urged journalists to remain vigilant and resist manipulation aimed at destabilizing democracy. He acknowledged the significant role journalists have played in Nigeria's struggle for democracy, noting that many have lost their freedom and lives in this fight.

The governor criticized politicians for deepening divisions in the country by focusing on ethnic and religious issues instead of addressing pressing challenges like healthcare, education, and poverty. He also mentioned the achievements of his administration over the past two and a half years, including the construction of roads and the renovation of hospitals, and emphasized the need for equitable development across Kaduna State.
