Uba Sani Drives Sports Development with Super Sand Eagles Camp

Kaduna state is currently hosting the Super Sand Eagles' 23-day training camp, which includes two international friendly matches against Senegal on October 2 and 4, 2026, and a CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana on October 10, 2026. This program, running from September 21 to October 14, 2026, reflects Governor Senator Uba Sani's commitment to sports development through significant investments in sporting infrastructure.

Key projects include the complete reconstruction of Ahmadu Bello Stadium, increasing its capacity from approximately 16,000 to 33,000 spectators, and the renovation of the Kaduna Township Stadium. Mallam Hassan Buba, the director of sports development, emphasized the improved security situation and the growing confidence in Kaduna as a suitable destination for sporting events.

Team Coordinator Sunday Okaye and Captain Victor Tale expressed gratitude for the support from the Kaduna State Government, highlighting the conducive environment for training and preparation for international fixtures.
