'Beautiful Camp' Alumni Deploy AI to Counter Negative Narratives About Nigeria

Alumni of the 'Beautiful Camp' in Nigeria are utilizing AI technology alongside traditional filmmaking to counter negative narratives about the country. Osasogie Guobadia and Nazifi Abdullahi, alumni of the camp, are set to produce a feature film incorporating AI storytelling techniques to address societal issues.

The project aims to provide accurate information about Nigeria through an infotainment approach that uplifts and educates. The camp, supported by the Jos Repertory Theatre and the Czech Foreign Ministry, focuses on training young artists to use their craft as a platform for promoting democracy, human rights, and freedom of the press.

By deploying AI in storytelling, the alumni seek to spread positive narratives about Nigeria and inspire the audience.
