Nigeria Launches Council For Creative Technology Futures To Drive Innovation

Nigeria has launched the Council for Creative Technology Futures (CCTF) under the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) to drive innovation in the creative economy. The initiative aims to position Nigeria at the forefront of global innovation by leveraging technology such as Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, and blockchain across 49 creative industry sectors.

The CCTF will guide the creative industry towards a digitally empowered future, providing creators with global market access and strengthening Nigeria's position as a cultural and technological powerhouse. The council will work in alignment with the National AI Strategy and Digital Economy Policy, engaging stakeholders and forming strategic partnerships with global organizations.

Inaugural members of the CCTF include prominent figures from various industries, reflecting a commitment to digitally driven creative sectors. The launch of the CCTF is seen as a milestone in building a foundation for Nigeria's creative future, protecting and monetizing innovations in music, art, and storytelling.
