The legal dispute between Bella Okagbue and Segun “Sheggz” Olusemo has escalated, with Bella's lawyers responding to allegations of defamation made by Sheggz's legal team. In a letter dated August 24, 2026, Bella's representatives described Sheggz's claims as “spurious and baseless,” asserting that her social media comments reflected her true feelings and experiences during their relationship.

They argued that her statements did not constitute defamation. Additionally, Bella's lawyers accused Sheggz of breaching a promise to marry her and misrepresenting his intentions, claiming he obtained multiple loans from her under false pretenses, with evidence to support these allegations.

They rejected Sheggz's demands for a retraction and cease-and-desist order. Furthermore, Bella's legal team warned Sheggz's lawyer against contacting their client through unsolicited messages and calls at inappropriate hours.

The relationship reportedly ended in January 2026, with Sheggz stating he had purchased a ring prior to the breakup.
