Benue Assembly Passes Bills Upgrading Health Education Standards

The Benue State House of Assembly passed two significant bills into law on October 9th. The first bill upgrades the School of Health Technology at Agasha to the College of Health Sciences and Technology.

This move aims to enhance healthcare training and manpower development in the state, aligning it with national standards. The second bill establishes the Benue State Quality Assurance Examinations Board to streamline the admission process and ensure credibility.

The upgraded institution will offer ND, HND, and degree programs, making graduates eligible for the NYSC. These laws also enhance the visibility of the institution and its admission processes.

Governor Samuel Ortom signed these bills into law to boost healthcare education in Benue State.
