Benue Assembly Appoints Clerk and Deputy Clerk, Bills Presented

The Benue State House of Assembly confirmed the appointments of Bem Mela as Clerk and Francis Adole as Deputy Clerk on September 3. The confirmation came after Chairman Ngohemba Agaigbe of the Benue State House Assembly Service Commission notified the House of the approval of the officers' appointments during a plenary session.

Additionally, Majority Leader Hon Saater Tiseer presented reports on bills related to higher education and amendments to existing laws, including the Revd Fr Moses Orshio Adasu University Law 2020 and laws establishing Colleges of Education in Oju. Speaker Alfred Emberga referred the reports to the House Standing Committee for further debate at a later date.
