Benue Assembly Overhauls Leadership, Appoints New Officers

The Benue State House of Assembly dissolved its principal officers and appointed new leadership during a plenary session on September 11. Speaker Rt Hon Alfred Emberga presided over the session where Hon Thomas Dugeri was named the new Majority Leader, replacing Saater Tiseer.

Other appointments included new Deputy Majority Leader, Majority Chief Whip, Deputy Majority Whip, Minority Leader, Deputy Minority Leader, and Minority Whip. The changes in leadership aim to steer the legislative affairs of the assembly in a new direction and enhance its functionality.
