Benue Company Launches Youth Empowerment with 525 Motorcycles

Benue Invest Properties Company Limited (BIPC) has initiated a youth empowerment scheme by launching 525 customized motorcycles available on hire purchase. This initiative aims to create sustainable livelihoods and enhance commercial activities in Benue State.

Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, the Group Managing Director of BIPC, explained that this motorcycle provision represents the first phase of a larger plan to assemble 10,000 units, with expectations of further collaboration with Chinese companies for additional supplies and training opportunities for Benue youth in software development kits (SDK).

The project is designed to reduce unemployment, foster self-reliance, and deepen economic participation across the state. The hire purchase scheme has already benefited several young people in earlier phases, and this latest batch signifies a significant scale-up in youth reliance on commercial motorcycle operations.

Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia has been commended for providing an enabling environment, and the state government’s support is seen as crucial for BIPC's mission of job creation and industrial growth.
