Benue Police Chief Cletus Nwadiogbu Urges Peaceful Campaigns

Cletus Nwadiogbu, the Commissioner of Police for Benue State, issued a warning to political parties and candidates against the recruitment of thugs and cult members during campaign activities. This warning was articulated during a meeting with political party chairmen, candidates, and security agency representatives at a peace accord signing ceremony held at the state police headquarters in Makurdi.

The peace accord aims to foster peaceful political activities and ensure security throughout the electoral process. Nwadiogbu urged political leaders to ensure their supporters act peacefully and responsibly, specifically cautioning against the use of political thugs and criminal elements to intimidate opponents.
