Benue Police Command Signs Peace Accord for Elections

On September 15, 2026, the Benue State Police Command convened political party leaders, candidates, and security agencies in Makurdi to sign a Peace Accord aimed at ensuring peaceful political activities during the electoral period. N. Nwadiogbu, urged participants to promote peaceful campaigns and warned against the recruitment of political thugs and cult groups to intimidate opponents.
