Benue Governor Flags Off Reconstruction of 55.09km Road Network in Gboko

Governor Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has initiated the reconstruction and dualization of a 55.09km road network in Gboko and surrounding areas, with a budget of N62.135 billion. The project, expected to be completed in five months, was officially launched at Lubona Junction.

Governor Alia expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support and emphasized the importance of sustained backing for such infrastructure projects. The road network in Gboko will become the second-longest in the state once completed, with ongoing construction on major roads in the region.

The project includes various key roads like Yandev Roundabout to Lubona Junction, Captain Dawn Road, and Tor Tiv Palace to Akaahar Adi Road. The Group Managing Director of Jamud Construction Limited, Jacob Momoh, assured immediate commencement of work and pledged to deliver quality within the stipulated period.

Local stakeholders, including Professor Bem Angwe and Professor David Orjim, commended the governor for the development initiative.
