Ucha Advocates for Change Amid Insecurity in Benue State

Terkaa Ucha, a former state lawmaker and governorship aspirant for Benue State representing the People's Democratic Party (PDP), voiced his concerns regarding the insecurity and hardship faced by residents during a visit to the party's secretariat in Makurdi. Ucha announced his intention to join the 2027 governorship race, seeking support from party members.

He highlighted that insecurity has become a central issue in the state, particularly the conflicts between farmers and herders. Ucha emphasized the need for the proper implementation of the anti-open grazing law, which he believes could significantly reduce these conflicts.

He also noted that the current administration has faced public outcry due to the hardships experienced by the people. Ucha's request for support was echoed by Ezekiel Adaji, the state chairman of the PDP, who described Ucha as a loyal party member and qualified aspirant.

Adaji expressed hope for justice and fairness in the party's decision-making process regarding the governorship candidacy.
