Benue PDP Strategizes for 2027 Elections in Makurdi

The Benue State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) held an expanded caucus meeting in Makurdi, focusing on strategies for a successful comeback in the 2027 elections. The meeting was attended by key leaders, including former Governor Samuel Ortom, who briefed members on the party's internal affairs and the need to address ongoing crises.

Ortom highlighted the importance of resolving litigations that have fragmented the party, particularly following a court judgment. He noted that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will commence the voter registration exercise on March 16, 2026, lasting two weeks, and expressed optimism that the PDP would achieve significant success in the upcoming elections.
