Benue State University Elevates 146 Lecturers to Professor Rank, Improves Facilities

Benue State University Makurdi, now Reverend Father Moses Orshio Adasu University, has promoted 146 lecturers to professor rank, effective since 2021. The Acting Vice Chancellor, Terver Ubwa, highlighted the significance of these promotions in restoring dignity and motivation among academic staff.

The university has also addressed challenges like water shortage by fixing generators across the campus. This move aims to ensure uninterrupted power supply and improve facilities like the university clinic.

The promotion process, which had been pending for four years, has now been prioritized to uplift the academic staff. The university is focused on enhancing the overall academic environment and staff welfare.
