Bill to Establish FUTIA Set to Pass Soon - Senator Sampson Initiates Key Infrastructure Projects

Senator Ekong Sampson revealed that a bill to grant legal status to the Federal University of Technology Ikot Abasi (FUTIA) in Akwa Ibom State is set to be passed soon. The bill has gone through the first, second, and third readings in the National Assembly.

Senator Sampson commissioned a 500KVA transformer at a secondary school in Eket and initiated the construction of a medical facility at Immanuel Hospital in Eket and General Hospital in Ikot Abasi. The projects aim to enhance education quality and healthcare services in the region, aligning with the West African Examinations Council's transition to online exams.

The developments signify a proactive approach to improving education and healthcare infrastructure in Akwa Ibom State.
