ADC Criticizes Tinubu Over Economic Hardship and Insecurity

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has publicly criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, asserting that it is not adequately addressing the severe economic hardships and insecurity faced by Nigerians. In a statement from the party's national public secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC accused the government of ignoring the harsh realities of inflation and rising living costs, which have become a daily struggle for millions.

Abdullahi highlighted that the cost of living has significantly increased, with fuel prices soaring nearly 500% following the removal of fuel subsidies. He questioned the government's ability to reduce costs despite global measures and called for immediate actions such as suspending fuel-related taxes and removing import charges to ease the burden on citizens.

Furthermore, Abdullahi pointed out the alarming security situation in Nigeria, referencing recent attacks in Plateau State and the growing sense of insecurity among citizens. He criticized the government's tendency to downplay public concerns and emphasized the urgent need for policies that directly improve the everyday lives of Nigerians.
