ADC Criticizes Tinubu's 'Game' Comments Amid Hardship

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has publicly criticized President Bola Tinubu following his remarks during an interfaith breakfast on Wednesday night, where he referred to winning as a "game." ADC spokesman Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi questioned the appropriateness of such comments, asking what exactly constitutes a "win" in Nigeria, given the current challenges. He pointed out that Nigerians are not truly winning when faced with rampant insecurity, economic hardship, and a lack of job opportunities for graduates.

Abdullahi emphasized that the struggles of ordinary Nigerians cannot be trivialized to mere political games, asserting that Nigeria requires serious leadership that understands the gravity of the presidential office. He stated, "Nigeria does not need a gamer-in-chief; Nigeria needs a leader who understands the weight of the office and the responsibilities it carries.".
