Blind Girl Adopted in 2011 Graduates with Law Degree, Inspiring Story of Overcoming Challenges

Joyc Imasuen Osaivbi, a blind girl adopted by former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole in 2011, recently graduated with a second-class upper degree in law from the University of Benin. Oshiomhole's commitment to supporting her education at the age of nine during a public event marked the beginning of her transformative journey.

The story highlights the importance of education and human rights for persons with disabilities, with the Network for the Advancement of People with Visible Disabilities (NAPVID) playing a crucial role. The graduation celebration also coincided with Joyc's outstanding academic performance at Queen's College in Lagos.
