BNXN, Runtown, Patoranking to Headline NYC Parade

Nigerian music stars Daniel Benson (BNXN), Douglas Jack Agu (Runtown), and Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie (Patoranking) are set to perform as headline acts at the 2026 Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day Parade and Carnival in New York City on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The event is organized by the Organization for the Advancement of Nigerians (OAN) and its partner organizations under the Nigerian Independence Day Committee (NIDC).

Funmi Dike, Secretary General of OAN, announced that the celebration will showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage through music, fashion, food, and dance, attracting thousands of Nigerians and members of the African diaspora. The participation of the three artists is expected to be a major highlight, reflecting their contributions to Afrobeats and contemporary African music.

The parade also aims to connect younger Nigerians in the U.S. with their cultural heritage. NUFF JAMZ ENTERTAINMENT INCORPORATED will serve as a promotional sponsor, enhancing the event's visibility.

Montefiore is the major sponsor, and Ambassador Abubakar Jidda, Consul General of Nigeria in New York, has been instrumental in supporting the parade.
