Zulum Optimistic About Ending Boko Haram Insurgency

Babagana Zulum, the Governor of Borno State, conveyed optimism regarding the imminent end of the Boko Haram insurgency during an Easter message issued on Sunday by his media aide, Dauda Iliya. He assured residents of the state's commitment to restoring peace and fostering unity among them.

Zulum highlighted the progress made in promoting harmony among religious groups and described the Easter season as a time for sacrifice, forgiveness, and love. He urged residents to remain united and avoid divisive tendencies, especially during the current political period.

The governor praised the Nigerian Armed Forces and security agencies, including the Civilian Joint Task Force, for their sacrifices and recent successes in counter-insurgency operations. He called for sustained efforts to promote peace and coexistence among communities, expressing confidence that Borno State will overcome its security challenges and achieve enduring peace.
