Boko Haram Kills 17 in Borno State Attack, Speaker Confirms

Boko Haram carried out a deadly attack in Borno State, killing 17 people. The Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Abdulkarim Lawan, verified the incident and sympathized with the families of the victims.

The bodies were recovered and given a mass burial according to Islamic rites. The attack took place in Monguno, with five bodies found in a nearby settlement in Nganzai LGA.

Additionally, an unspecified number of people were killed in Gajiram. The search and rescue mission is ongoing for missing individuals in Gudumbali headquarters in Guzamala LGA.

The incident occurred in Mairari village, located 15 kilometers from the newly resettled village of Guzamala LGA.
