BON Announces 2026 Nigeria Broadcast Awards Ceremony

The Broadcasting Organizations of Nigeria (BON) has announced the second edition of the Nigeria Broadcast Awards, scheduled for April 8, 2026, from 6 PM to 9 PM at the NAF Conference Centre in Kado, Abuja. This event follows the endorsement of BON's 74th General Assembly held in Kano in 2021, aimed at celebrating outstanding achievements and promoting quality media practices across radio and television platforms.

The 2026 edition will feature a total of 204 entries, reviewed by an award selection committee chaired by Danladi Bako, alongside representatives from key industry bodies, including the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria and the National Broadcasting Commission. Winners will be announced across 24 categories, including Radio and Television Station of the Year, Best Report, Best Newscast, and Best Production.

The event will also honor distinguished individuals for their significant contributions to the development of broadcasting in Nigeria, recognizing lifetime achievements, including posthumous awards for industry icons like Raymond Dokpesi. Public officials and stakeholders supporting the media industry will also be acknowledged.
