BON to Honor Broadcasting Icons at 2026 Awards Ceremony

The Broadcast Organization of Nigeria (BON) has announced plans to hold the second edition of the Nigeria Broadcast Awards (TNBA) on April 8, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja. This event aims to honor notable individuals and organizations in the broadcasting industry following a meticulous selection process that reviewed 204 entries.

The selection committee, led by former Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission, Dr. Danladi Bako, includes members from various sectors of the industry.

The awards will recognize excellence across 24 categories, including Best Radio Station of the Year and Best Newscast. Notable honorees include Shyngle Wigwe, former DG of NTA, Yemi Farounbi, and Dr.

John Momoh, among others. The event will also posthumously honor industry icons such as High Chief Raymond Dokpesi.

Additionally, the awards will recognize contributions from various state governors and media organizations.
