Boniface Nears Return to Werder Bremen Training

Boniface is approaching a return to training with Werder Bremen, as confirmed by head coach Daniel Thioun, who expressed hope that the striker will participate in the club's fight for Bundesliga survival by the end of the season. Boniface has been sidelined since December due to a knee injury that required surgery earlier this year.

Initially ruled out for the rest of the campaign, his recovery has accelerated in recent weeks. He joined Werder Bremen on loan from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, where he recorded two assists in 11 league appearances.

His return to training has drawn praise from fellow Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who responded positively on social media to a post by Boniface showcasing his training efforts. Meanwhile, Osimhen is also recovering from an arm injury sustained during a UEFA Champions League defeat to Liverpool and has begun gym work as part of his rehabilitation program, with expectations to return by the end of the month.
