Boniface’s AC Milan Move Collapses Amidst Concern Over His Knee

Nigeria's Victor Boniface's anticipated move to AC Milan has fallen through due to concerns over his knee. The Italian club decided to pull out of the deal after medical tests raised issues with the Bayer Leverkusen striker's knee.

Boniface, who was set to wear the number 22 jersey at Milan, would have been the seventh Nigerian to play for the club. This setback comes after a failed transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr earlier this year.

Milan, looking to bolster their attack, had seen Boniface as a potential partner for Rafael Leão. Despite this setback, Leverkusen will retain the striker, who is under contract until 2028.

The club will now focus on recovering from a recent defeat as they prepare to face Werder Bremen.
