Francis Uzoho Joins Omonia 29th May on Free Transfer

Francis Uzoho has completed a transfer to Omonia 29th May, a club in the Cyprus League, on a free transfer, signing a contract that runs until May 31, 2027. The 27-year-old goalkeeper made the move within Nicosia after spending five years at Omonia Nicosia.

Uzoho's previous club was engaged in qualifying rounds for both the 2026-27 season and the Europa League, but he did not participate in those competitions before his departure. His career began at Campos FA, followed by stints at Aspire Dreams and Deportivo La Coruna's academy in Spain.

He was later signed by APOEL Nicosia and had loan spells at Omonia Nicosia, Elche, and Anorthosis before permanently joining Omonia Nicosia in September 2021. During his time there, he won the Cypriot Cup in 2022 and 2023 and was part of the squad that won the Cypriot League title in the 2025-26 season.

Uzoho has also represented Nigeria at youth and senior levels, including being part of the Under-17 squad that won the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in 2013 and the team that finished as runners-up in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
