Zulum Mourns Borno Attack Victims, Vows Rescue Efforts

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum expressed deep sorrow over the recent Boko Haram attack in Ngosh, Gwoza Local Government Area, which occurred on Wednesday night, resulting in several deaths and the abduction of approximately 300 residents. During a visit to the affected community, Zulum conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims and emphasized the tragic nature of the incident.

He assured the community that the Nigerian military would do everything possible to rescue the abducted individuals. Zulum noted that military operations are ongoing in the Sambisa Forest to flush out insurgents, and he called on the Nigerian Army to intensify efforts in the Mandara Hill area, which poses a significant security threat.

While the exact number of casualties is still being assessed, the state government has begun distributing relief materials and establishing cooking points to provide food for displaced residents. Zulum urged the community to remain calm and assured that the state government is committed to restoring peace and stability.
