Zulum Calls for Prayers Amid Renewed Boko Haram Attacks

Babagana Umara Zulum, the Governor of Borno State, has urged residents to intensify prayers for peace as the state faces renewed attacks from Boko Haram insurgents. This call was made during his participation in a special prayer session while performing lesser hajj in Saudi Arabia.

In a statement issued by his special adviser on media, Dauda Iliya, Zulum emphasized the importance of collective prayer during the last ten days of Ramadan, appealing to both the Muslim community and Christians observing Lent to join in seeking divine intervention for peace and stability in the state. He expressed condolences to the families of recent attack victims and reassured the public of the state government's continued support for military and security agencies in their efforts to combat insurgency.

Zulum highlighted the need for unity among residents to confront the security challenges facing Borno State.
