Zulum Donates N150 Million to Slain Officers' Families

On Wednesday, Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State announced a donation of N150 million to the families of three military officers who were killed in a recent attack. This gesture is part of the state government's support for the families of security personnel involved in counter-insurgency operations.

During his visit, Zulum presented a cheque of N50 million to the family of the late Lieutenant Colonel Umar Farouq and another N50 million to the family of Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Saidu Paiko. He expressed heartfelt condolences to the families, particularly honoring the late Lieutenant Colonel Salihu Iliyasu for his dedicated service to the nation.

Zulum commended the bravery and sacrifice of the slain officers in the fight against insurgency and announced plans to visit the families of other officers killed in action during ongoing military operations. He reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting the families of security personnel defending the country.
