Borno Governor Zulum Backs Tinubu, APC for 2027 Elections

On Monday, Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum reaffirmed the state's support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the upcoming 2027 general elections. During the APC senatorial district primary election for Borno Central held in Maiduguri, Zulum pledged that the people of Borno State would vote for Tinubu for a second term.

He expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for appointing Kashim Shettima as Vice President, describing it as a significant honor for the people of Borno. Zulum also endorsed Kaka Shehu Lawan for the Senate, affirming that Lawan would return to the Senate representing Borno Central in 2027.

Jone Od Eru, the chairman of the Borno State senatorial district primary election committee, praised the peaceful conduct of the primaries and confirmed Lawan's unopposed candidacy, stating that he had satisfied the APC's constitutional requirements.
