Adeleke Wins 19 LGAs in Osun Governorship Election

Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State representing the Accord Party, has achieved victory in 19 of the 30 local government areas during the ongoing governorship election, indicating a strong position for securing a second term. His main opponent, Bola Oyebamiji, the candidate from the All Progressives Congress (APC), won 11 local government areas.

The results from these councils give Adeleke a significant advantage as the collation process approaches completion. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is expected to officially declare the final statewide results soon.

The local government areas won by Adeleke include Ayedaade, Ayedire, Boluwaduro, Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, Ejigbo, Ife Central, Ife East, Ife North, Ifedayo, Ifelodun, Ila, Ilesa West, Iwo, Odo-Otin, Oriade, Orolu, and Osogbo. Oyebamiji's victories came from Atakumosa East, Atakumosa West, Boripe, Ife South, Ilesa East, Irepodun, Irewole, Isokan, Obokun, Ola-Oluwa, and Olorunda.
