Kemi Adeosun Reflects on Husband's Death at Funeral

Kemi Adeosun, the former Minister of Finance, spoke at the funeral service for her husband, Adeniyi Adeosun, who died on August 5 at the age of 62. She revealed that he went to bed and never woke up, expressing her wish to die in the same manner.

Adeosun recounted how they had recently decided to enjoy life more, planning trips every three months after years of financial caution. She reflected on their upcoming 33rd wedding anniversary and expressed her heartbreak over his sudden passing, noting that he showed no signs of illness prior to his death.

Adeosun described her husband as a playful and mischievous person, sharing a memory of how he once bypassed a long immigration queue in the United States by declaring himself disabled and using a wheelchair. She expressed gratitude for their years together and acknowledged the deep impact of his absence on family and friends.
