Uba Sani's Housing Milestones Transform Kaduna State

On Tuesday, three civil society organizations commended Governor Uba Sani's administration for its significant transformation of Kaduna State's housing sector, highlighting 29 key milestones achieved during his three years in office. The organizations noted that the initiatives extend beyond mere house construction, addressing the resettlement of vulnerable citizens, urban center development, land reforms, and job creation.

Among the notable achievements was the delivery of 100 prefabricated homes for widows in Rigachikun, a first in Nigeria, in partnership with Family Homes Funds. They also mentioned new homes for 82 families in Tudun Biri, facilitated by the state and constructed by the Federal Government.

The completion of the Qatar Sanabil Houses for victims of banditry was emphasized as a major social housing intervention. The administration's housing policy prioritizes widows, internally displaced persons, and low-income earners, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Ward Development Plan.

Additionally, the groups highlighted urban development projects, including the Millennium City and Nuru Suraj Extension, aimed at expanding residential capacity.
