Benue Seminarian Kelvin Ochai Escapes from Kidnappers

Kelvin Ochai, a seminarian of the Catholic Diocese of Otukpo in Benue State, escaped from his abductors on the evening of Friday, July 31, 2026. The Diocese confirmed his safe return in a statement issued by its Chancellor, Very Rev.

Fr. Joseph Itodo, attributing it to divine intervention and the prayers of Christians and supporters.

After escaping, Ochai made his way to Aliade in Gwer East Local Government Area and was reunited with his family unharmed. Most Rev.
