Plateau State Assembly Member Adamu Aliyu Wanted Over N73.6m TETFund Contract Fraud

Adamu Aliyu, a Plateau State House Assembly member, has been declared wanted by the Federal High Court in Abuja over an alleged N73.6 million TETFund contract fraud. The court issued the order following an application by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

Aliyu is accused of involvement in a fraudulent contract scheme with businessman Mohammed Jidda, where funds were misappropriated for a university project in Jos. Investigations revealed that significant amounts of the funds were diverted to Aliyu's personal and company accounts.

The case underscores the ongoing efforts to combat corruption within government institutions in Nigeria.
