Plateau Lawmaker Wanted for TETFund Contract Scam

A Federal High Court in Abuja has issued a warrant for the arrest of Plateau State House Assembly member, Adamu Aliyu, over an alleged TETFund contract scam worth millions. Aliyu, representing Jos North State Constituency, is accused of fraudulent activities related to a Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) contract.

The court order followed an application by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). Aliyu allegedly promised to secure an N850 million TETFund contract for a businessman, Mohammed Jidda, who paid him a significant sum upfront.

The court documents revealed details of the fraudulent scheme, including fake contract awards and fund transfers to personal accounts.
