ADC Sues Chief Judge Tsoho for Alleged Corruption

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has initiated legal action against Justice John Tsoho, the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, claiming corruption and disobedience to court orders related to a pending case. The suit, filed on June 4, 2026, in Abuja, challenges the leadership of Senator David Mark within the ADC.

The ADC seeks to join an existing suit (No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1819/2025) brought by Nafiu Bala Gomb against Mark, accusing Tsoho and Justice Peter Lifu of acting against the party's interests.

The ADC's petition to the National Judicial Council (NJC) on June 1, 2026, requested the removal of Tsoho and Lifu. The ADC alleges that Tsoho reassigned the case to Lifu despite a Supreme Court order mandating Justice Emeka Nwite to continue hearing the matter.

The ADC's claims include accusations of judicial misconduct and disregard for established legal doctrines, particularly concerning the interests of Nyesom Wike, a Federal Capital Territory Minister.
