Military Source Reveals Identity of Detained Naval Officer in Alleged Coup Plot

A senior officer of the Nigerian Navy, Lieutenant Commander B. Abdullahi, has been identified as one of the military personnel detained by the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) for allegedly planning a coup to topple the government.

Abdullahi, a member of the 56 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), is currently in custody along with two Air Force personnel and several Army officers. The alleged coup plot, reportedly led by Brigadier General Pick, has led to the arrest of Lieutenant Colonel Al Makura, indicating a significant security threat in Nigeria.
