Breaking: APC Suspends Ex-Gov Gbenga Daniel, 1 Other, Gives Reason

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended former Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel and Hon Kunle Folarin, the senator representing Ogun East, for alleged activities. The suspension was announced in a statement by Nuberu Olufemi, the director of publicity for the state, on Tuesday, August 20.

The decision was made after the two individuals failed to appear before a disciplinary committee set up to review complaints against them. The APC emphasized the importance of upholding discipline and procedure, stating that the suspension would allow for a review of the outcome of the internal process.

This news comes amidst reports of the Ogun State government ordering the demolition of Daniel's private residence and hotel, which he claims is politically motivated and rooted in thuggish political vindictiveness. Daniel had previously requested a pension allowance as a former governor and senator, citing good conscience and moral principles as his reasons.
