Atiku Abubakar Wins ADC Presidential Ticket with 1.8M Votes

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, secured the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) by winning the party's primary election held on Wednesday night. He garnered a total of 1,846,370 votes, defeating two contenders: Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, the former Managing Director of the defunct FSB International Bank, and Rotimi Amaechi, the former Governor of Rivers State.

The announcement of Abubakar's victory was made by Tund Ogbeha, who returned to office as the ADC president. This victory positions Abubakar as a significant candidate in the upcoming presidential elections, representing the ADC.
