Atiku Abubakar Chooses Rotimi Amaechi as Running Mate

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, has announced the selection of Rotimi Amaechi as his running mate for the 2027 presidential election under the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The announcement was made at the ADC national secretariat in Abuja by Bolaji Abdullahi.

Amaechi, a former governor of Rivers State and former Minister of Transport, was chosen after broad consultations within the party, reflecting his strong performance as a candidate. His extensive experience across both legislative and executive branches of government, including serving as a two-term governor and former speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, positions him as a unique complement to Atiku's leadership.

The ADC believes that Amaechi's selection will bolster the party's campaign and offer Nigerians a credible alternative in the upcoming elections.
